Vets 22 empowers veterans to consider entrepreneurship through mentorship, inspiration, and motivational based events throughout Northeast Florida. In partnership with the City of Jacksonville's Military & Veterans Affairs Office, the Vets 22 team strategically designs, develops and deploys a success veteran business summit titled the Jacksonville Vetrepreneur Summit. Launched in mid-2017 to over 30,000 live online streamers, and again in mid-2018 with the attendance of the Honorable Mayor Lenny Curry, Vets 22 inspired the launch and growth of several veteran-owned businesses.
Vets 22's mentorship strategy is simple, show veterans what they can become and watch the veteran protege become the seasoned mentor. Shuford, a vetrepreneur leaned on other experienced business owners before establishing the award-winning veteran innovation company Tech From Vets knew precisely what veteran business owners needed to be successful.
With the pillars of the program being mentorship, inspiration, and motivation Vets 22 has expanded its services beyond the boardroom and into the classroom. The first classroom implementation will be hosted at Jacksonville University's Davis College of Business in mid-July.
